I love my writing group!

It is such a great feeling to be with people who love what you love. My life is even more blessed since the first day I timidly attended the monthly writers meeting.  I was late on purpose, sat at the back and checked out the meeting. It took me a while to move from the back row but eventually I even got up the nerve to enter a contest to get experience...and I won!  I was so suprised but it was very affirming to me. The prize money took me to my first writing conference and it was a great learning experience.

Joining a local writing group, or professional writing organizations  look good on paper but it's how you apply yourself that matters the most.
