Email Collection is important to your platform

On your site you will need an option for people to sign up. You can request sign ups by offering updates, offers, etc. Having something to offer to person subscribing is a helpful incentive. For instance you may offer a free Helpful Guide to Bible Study, a List of Verses Speaking to God's Protection etc. After you have this on your site know that you can change it if you aren't getting any subscribers.

In the busyness of the day, remember that the list is a list of people who need to know you value them, pray for them, send them Holiday notes and don't forget that they signed up for your message. The popular term for the people who follow you is Tribe.

Causes come and go. Followers change their focus or move on. Much of this is uncontrollable but I know myself that the messages I am loyal to don't forget me. If you want your followers to remain loyal, be loyal to them. That said, don't aggravate them either. No one wants to be bombarded. Find a good balance and be respectful.

When packing for an event where you may speak, sign books, make an appearance etc. remember to take a sign up sheet.  Have a quick message ready to encourage people to sign up. It should include the "free gift" you will send to them (usually electronically). If you have a device connected to internet just sign them up right then if they are interested.

A person expresses trust in you when they sign up so guard that trust by safeguarding their information and by sending the freebie as soon as possible. Once you have the emails, develop a timely system of inputting those emails into a program like Excel or using a service like Mailchimp.
